Ricardo Patara
Ricardo Patara has a BSc in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (USP) and technical MBA in High Speed Networks from the Computer Network and Architecture Lab at USP.
He worked for more than 4 years in the Academic Network of São Paulo as network administrator, helping with the deployment of new sites, interconnections and peering.
He was one of the first LACNIC employees and helped with the set up of its registration services, where he worked for almost 10 years.
His is currently Internet Numbers Registration Service Manager at NIC.br, a National Internet Registry in Brazil.
He helped with the formation of LACNOG (Latin American and Caribbean Network Operators Group), and was part of its first Program Committee and then part of its Board.
He is very active in the LACNIC policy development process and author of several policy proposals.
