An election was held at APNIC 16 to fill the vacant Asia Pacific seat on the ASO Address Council. The result of the ballot was an equal number of votes for each candidate. On the recommendation of the APNIC Executive Council, the meeting attendees and both candidates agreed to resolve the election by coin toss. As a result, Hyun-joon Kwon was elected to the AC for a three year term. For full details, refer to the APNIC web site

LACNIC has called for nominations of individuals willing to serve as the next LACNIC region representative on the ASO Address Council. The seat currently held by Raimundo Beca will be become vacant on 31 December 2003.

Nominations will be accepted until 21 October 2003 at 11:59 p.m. Uruguayan time (UTC -3).

RIPE NCC has called for nominations of individuals willing to serve as the next RIPE region representative on the ASO Address Council. The seat currently held by Sabine Jaume will be becme vacant in December 2003. APNIC has called for nominations of individuals willing to serve as the next Asia Pacific representative on the ASO Address Council. In December, 2002, Barbara Roseman resigned from her position as an ARIN region ASO AC member. Barbara’s term was scheduled to end on December 31, 2003. To fill the vacancy caused by the resignation, the ARIN Board of Trustees has appointed Kim Hubbard as in interim member of the ASO AC. Kim’s term will end on December 31, 2003.
