I’ve now served almost three years with Kuo on the ICANN Board. He is a thoughtful colleague who thinks independently and does not hesitate to be heard. His technical judgment as head of the IANA Committee has been very important in a variety of ways. He is a good listener and an excellent thinker, a combination all too rare in my experience. I strongly recommend his reappointment to the Board.
I’d like to support Kuo Wei Wu to continuously serve the ICANN Board.
Kuo Wei is well-experienced and knowledgable for ICANN at the “new season”. He is a seasoning and senior executive which can take leadership role for the Internet community. He has proved his ability in his current term, as well as in his other capacities.
I had the pleasure working with Kuo Wei in the past 10 years in TWNIC and in ICANN. I fully support him for his 2nd term as ICANN Board member.

I have known Kuo Wei for many years. He is dedicated and passionate about ICANN, technologies, policies and all things Internet. Just like a mentor, he often reminds and helps others to understand and appreciate the implications of Internet developments. He is also very willing to listen and add his insightful opinions and observations. It is a shame if he is not on the ICANN Board and I strongly recommend him for a second term.
I have had the pleasure of serving on the Board of ICANN with Kuo Wei Wu for the duration of Kuo Wei’s current term. I can attest to Kuo Wei’s professionalism, attention to detail and focus on ensuring that ICANN as an organization serves its community well, and works in a truly bottom-up manner.
Personally, Kuo Wei Wu brings a unique perspective, blending his encylopedic knowledge of issues that are relevant to the Asia-Pacific region. With his background in both the address and the name space areas, Kuo Wei’s skills are in high demand as ICANN grows and expands its services, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.
I have known Kuo-Wei for 13+ years. We have been seeing each other quite often at various Asia Pacific Internet-related events. We also served on APNIC EC together for 10+ years. He is totally devoted to Internet and he is a trustworthy person. He has contributed a lot to the Internet development in Taiwan, in Asia Pacific and globally. I support him to run the ICANN board election for his second term as I think he will be a great asset to ICANN and its community.
I have been working with Kuo-Wei for various Asia Pacific based Internet-related activities / organisations including APNIC for 13+ years. He is devoted to and has been contributed a lot to Internet development in Taiwan, in Asia Pacific and now world-wide. His knowledge and experience is valuable to ICANN. So, I support him to run the ICANN board election. I am sure he will continue to contribute.
At each ICANN meeting I attend I seek out and speak with Kuo. I always find him polite, thoughtful, and able to grasp the connections between some policy or process issue and the larger sweep of public interest.
I sincerely hope the ASO selects Kuo for another term in seat #10.

Kuo has been a careful, considerate, and caring member of the ICANN Board. He takes the time and energy to reach out to not only ASO stakeholders, but to other groups as well. He has been and continues to be an effective leader, by listening to the community, not only Asia/Pac, but on a global scale. I support his return to the ICANN Board.
Kuo Wei Wu is a long standing member of the Internet community. For the many years that I have known him, he has shown a deep understanding of the complexity of issues facing this community. I strongly believe that he should be re-elected and continue in his role on the ICANN board.
The Board really needs bridge-builders like Kuo-Wei. he has shown tremendous sensitivity and practicality in getting ICANN to build consensus around important issues.
Dr. Wu has my highest recommendations as an ICANN Board member.
Few people are as well-qualified as he is. The ideal Board member should be familiar with the technical workings of the Internet, be familiar with law and policy issues, and be comfortable working with civil society, and the public and private sectors. Dr. Wu meets these criteria easily. His working style enables an easy fit.
His stint on the ICANN Board has also equipped him with the experience to obviate the steep learning curve of anyone new to the organisation.
Dr. Wu will be an asset to ICANN.
I would like to support Ko Wei U as he represent Asian Internet community for years. And he has good knowledge on computer and communication. He has good relationship with APNIC, APRICOT, APIA and JPNIC. We need him in the ICANN board again.
I know Mr. Wu for more than 10 years. He has been leading many activities relating to Internet technologies as well as sorrounding policies. He is particularly active in Asia Pacific, where his continued involvement is critical. I strongly support his re-election as an ICANN board member.
Kuo Wei is very committed and he brings an important perspective from Asia Pacific. In a more diverse Internet environment we have now and a more multilingual domain space and an overall more multicultural community, I think he has done a great job in his last term. I support him to continue to serve ICANN.
I can testify that Kuo is someone who deeply cares for the needs of the ICANN stakeholders and always does his best to approach issues in a careful and balanced way.

Kuo Wei Wu is a passionate and dedicated person, both aware of technology aspects and gouvernance aspects of internet on a global scale. In addition, he has a keen understanding of thinking and culture in China, which I feel is key to have present in a Board that is to address issues that are global by nature.
Furthermore, he has a strong sense of ethics, and while he has an opinion, he listens to arguments and is willing to adapt his opinion when he is convinced otherwise.
