On 15 February 2000, the Address Council made a call for nominations to ASO seats on the ICANN Board. The deadline for nominations was 19 April 2000 (30 days prior to the recent ASO General Assembly meeting).
At its 2 November 1999 meeting in Los Angeles, the Address Council approved a revision of these terms on request of the 3 ASO ICANN directors, and asked ICANN to implement this revision as follows:
On 28 October 1999, ICANN announced that nine new Directors had been named to the Board by its three supporting organizations.
