The second ASO General Assembly meeting was held on Wednesday, 4 April 2001 in the Hyatt Hotel at Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco USA, hosted by ARIN during the ARIN Public Policy and Members Meeting. New ICANN Director Elected by Address Council

ICANN has announced its next round of meetings, to be held in Yokohama, Japan on 14-18 July 2000. The previous round of ICANN meetings was held in Cairo, Egypt on 7-10 March, 2000. Full details are still available from the Cairo meeting web site .

First ASO General Assembly

In accordance with the ASO MoU, the ASO Address Council held its first General Assembly meeting on 19 May 2000. This meeting was held in Budapest, Hungary, in conjunction with the RIPE-36 meeting, hosted by RIPE NCC.

Independent Review Panel Nominations Committee

On 23 March 2000, ICANN called on the Address Council to select 2 individuals to fill ASO seats on the Independent Review Panel (IRP) Nominating Committee. In their letter to the AC, ICANN described the function of the committee, and provided general guidelines as to the type of individuals who would be suitable for nomination.
