The Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) have been working together for some time on the production of a relationship agreement, or contract, between the RIRs and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
There is now a draft contract that, if executed, would represent agreement between the RIRs and ICANN on matters of roles, responsibilities and procedures relating to Internet address management and global address management policies. This contract would further codify, or formalize, the existing working relationship between the RIRs and ICANN which is set forth in the ASO MoU.
The RIRs and ICANN are currently accepting comments on the draft.
