ARIN Board Appoints Ron da Silva to NRO NC
ARIN is pleased to announce that Ron da Silva has been reappointed by the Board of Trustees to the Number Resource Organization (NRO) Number Council from the ARIN region. Ron will begin serving a three-year term on 1 January 2012.
Tomohiro Fujisaki Elected to NRO NC
APNIC is pleased to announce that Tomohiro Fujisaki has been elected as a representative to the Number Resource Organization (NRO) Number Council (NC) for the APNIC region for a two-year term from 1 January2012 to 31 December 2013.

NRO NC Call for Nominations – RIPE NCC Service Region
There is a call for nominations from the RIPE NCC service region to fill one vacant seat on the Number Resource Organization (NRO) Number Council (NC). The term of Wilfried Woeber, who was appointed to the NRO NC by the RIPE NCC Executive Board in October 2008, ends on 31 December 2011.
NRO NC Call For Nominations – ARIN Service Region
This is an open call for nominations from the ARIN region to fill one (1) seat on the Number Resource Organization (NRO) Number Council that becomes vacant with the expiration of Ron da Silva’s term on 31 December 2011. Candidates must be willing to serve a three (3) year term beginning 1 January 2012. Incumbents may be nominated for consecutive terms.
ASO AC Workshop Held at ICANN 41
Representatives of the ASO Address Council (AC) hosted a workshop on regional IP addressing activities on 22 June 2011 at ICANN 41, held in Singapore.
The ASO AC invited members of the technical community, representatives from government and business groups, and all others interested in the continued growth of the Internet from established regions of the world and developing economies to attend the session to increase understanding and encourage increased participation in IP addressing community activities.
LACNIC Elects New Representative to the NRO NC
LACNIC is pleased to announce the election of Alejandro Guzmán Giraldo as the representative of the LACNIC region to the ASO Address Council / NRO Number Council. The election was held on 20 May 2011, during the LACNIC XV meeting in the city of Cancun, Mexico.
Alejandro was elected to occupy a seat in the Address Council from 1 January 2012 until 31 December 2014.
APNIC Appoints Andy Linton to the ASO AC
The NRO is pleased to announce that APNIC has appointed Andy Linton to the Address Supporting Organization Address Council (ASO AC).
This is an interim appointment ending 31 December 2011, to replace Dr. Kenny Huang, who was recently elected to the APNIC Executive Council.
ASO AC Workshop: Number Resource Policy Development Activities Presentation
On 16 March 2011, members of the ASO Address Council presented a workshop at ICANN 40 in San Francisco, CA. The presentation included overviews of the ASO AC, the Policy Development Process, IANA/NRO/RIR updates, and current Global Policies and Proposals.
