Nick Nugent

Nick Nugent is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Tennessee, where he teaches Internet Law, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Property. Nick received his undergraduate degree in computer science from Indiana University and his juris doctor from Vanderbilt Law School. Prior to entering the academy, Nick served as Senior Corporate Counsel for Amazon Web Services, where he supported Amazon’s IP address acquisition and strategy group, and as an attorney for Microsoft, where he supported Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing service. In private practice, Nick practiced patent litigation, technology transactions, and telecommunications.
